IN THE SHOP

GLENN SCHOALES

The head of our repair shop, Glenn was born in New York, moved to Nova Scotia, and at age 19, he attended Guitar Research and Design Center with guitar builder Charles Fox. In 1985, Glenn moved to Burlington, Vermont, where he started Schoales Guitars, a repair and custom building shop, which he owned for 14 years. He attended the NAMM Show with Schoales Guitars in 1990. As his business grew, he began training apprentices for high school work study programs. In 1998, he moved to Nashville to work for Gibson Custom shop in the Pro Shop. He repaired artist's guitars, built custom "art guitars," designed and built NAMM Show guitars and specialized in custom inlay. In 2005 Glenn started working with Gruhn Guitars in Nashville and in 2011, came to us with now over 40 years of experience. Glenn loves to go skiing or golfing on his days off.

His favorite guitars he’s ever worked on are old Gibson AJs and old Martin D18s.

JOSH GREENE


Hailing from Kansas City, Kansas, Josh is one of our Acoustic and Electric repair specialists. Josh handles a number of our refrets, a lot of our setups, and many of the day-to-day interactions of the shop.

Josh is available in the shop from Tuesday through Saturday




 

SEAN BRESNAN

Sean, our resident Electric guitar specialist, can be often seen hunched over the bench in the corner with a hot soldering iron standing by. Sean does most of the custom wiring work, electric repair, and electric setups.
